He says, "In the last two editions, I went to the stadium for the IPL final but this time, I have to be in Ahmedabad for the launch of my new show. But while I was supposed to reach in the evening, I got it rescheduled so that I can watch the match in the evening! I will watch it with my Amdavadi friends or at my hotel room."

Actor Aamir Dalvi, an ardent Team Mumbai fan, is disappointed that his favourite team didn't make it to the final. But he says, "Still, I will not miss watching the final. I will enjoy it at home with my family and might call a few friends over. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a one-sided game, as was the case on Friday."

Bonding over cricket is a hit with this generation. Bhaskar Dasgupta, a collegian from Vadodara, shares, "We are going to a newly launched music and sports lounge, where they are screening the games on a giant screen. Apart from the cricket, the ambience there is fun and there are some mouth-watering IPL special dishes on offer. And we might get to shake a leg too, as the place has a dance floor!"

Fans from the state are also hoping to see the local players doing well. Vishal Jadav, a cricket buff from Ahmedabad, says, "Like in the last game, I am hoping that Yusuf Pathan comes good again. He is a big-match player and with no Chris Gayle around, he might be the one to hit those delightful huge sixes!"

Nikhil Mathur, an insurance professional from Surat, also has grand plans in store to enjoy the occasion. He says, "A few friends will be coming to my place in the afternoon itself and together, we will cook some yummy dishes before the match starts. And from 8 pm, we will be glued to the television." 

And who are they rooting for? Says Majethia, "I am supporting Chennai because they always raise their game when it matters the most."
